Regular Board Meeting Notes
April 15, 2024, at 7pm

Joyce Dierking as acting chair called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

Attending: Lon Stockebrand, Clay Thomas, Joyce Dierking

Also Attending: Bob Jones – Financial Clerk, Chief Lyle Neville, and community members.

Approval of March Minutes (Joyce Dierking) – Lon made a motion for approval of minutes, Clay seconded it, and passed 3-0.

Bob Jones reported on the Fire Station 1 Seismic Rehabilitation Project.

The finance report for February was presented by Bob Jones and was approved by the board.

Lyle delivered the Chief’s Report.

Lyle reported on the applications for the Board positions. The Board discussed seating the new board members in June, not July. Lon made a motion and Clay seconded it, passed 3-0.

The Board discussed the records request, but no motions were made.

Lon suggested setting a date for a special board meeting for board elections and the Board tentatively scheduled the meeting for May 13th at 7 pm in the School Media Center however they agreed to discuss referring to special meeting guidelines before setting a date.

The proposed levy committee was discussed, and the Board discussed several community members that had volunteered for the committee. 

The meeting was opened to public comment.

Lon made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Clay. All in favor of adjourning. Meeting adjourned at 8:15.
